Hutchinson WWTF Facility Assessment
Nero completed a head-to-toe facility assessment of the wastewater treatment plant to determine and prioritize process and equipment needs. The project
included an on-site condition assessment, the compilation of information for all equipment, the evaluation of process and equipment capacities, and the
documentation of current operations. Nero worked closely with WWTF staff to evaluate the processes not only based on the physical conditions
observed but to understand the operations and maintenance concerns from the workers routinely handling the equipment. A very detailed method of evaluation
was used to establish a remaining useful life for each piece of equipment based upon standard expected life, adjustments for actual age, use, condition and
equipment performance. Furthermore the operations importance was considered so items of similar condition could be ranked accordingly.
